CREATING AN ACHIEVER’S LIFESTYLE

It is a well known fact that negative thoughts sabotages your mind, body, and spirit. It influences all that you do. The results of a negative mindset can leave you feeling hopeless, helpless, fearful and believe that you are not worthy!  You are branded by Procrastination, Apathy, Complacency, and Low Self-Esteem, and you begin to dance to the tune of wasted potential. You begin to feel and behave like a loser! You doubt your capability and ability to succeed in anything.

The book of Proverbs in the Bible says in Chapter 23: As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.  James Allen, the author of “As a Man Thinketh” wrote: “A man is literally what he things, his character being the complete sum of all his thoughts.

 

The reality is that negativity prevents our minds from capturing, embodying and living a life of true limitless possibilities; to live a phenomenal life. . Simply put, negatives thoughts block out the truth about you and your potential. You are assailed with thoughts of:

  • I am not good enough… but the truth is You are Good Enough
  • Nobody loves me … but the truth is You are Loved
  • I can’t, it’s impossible … but the truth is You can and it is Possible
  • Maybe tomorrow …. but the truth is Today and Now is your time

How is your thinking?

No one is immune to negative thinking, we are all faced with fears, insecurities, tragedies and challenges but we can rise above our circumstances. We have the ability to discipline our mind, body and spirit.  Personal self control is a critical component for your success.  Zig Ziglar says, “ You are designed for accomplishment, engineered for success and endowed with the seeds of greatness.”  Woah – I totally agree 100%! But do you?  Although, those words are true but in order for them to manifest into reality it starts with THE MIND. We play mind games, with time, ourselves, others and our contributions. The outcome of the game will have a positive or negative impact on the world around us. You can’t expect new results with your old mentality, freedom from mental slavery is needed. Our top priority should be to flush the gunge and limiting beliefs from our mind and to fill our minds with thoughts that will yield great results in our life.

In the book of Philippians of the Bible, Paul in his final words of encouragement to his Philippian friends in 4:8 declared in 4:8, that in spite of the hardships to come, they should focus on the hope and the peace which they had and the one to come. He said, “whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthythink about such things”!  That’s the perfect place to start to develop a positive mind!

Use these words  above daily in your positive affirmations mantra, begin by saying “I am” followed by an encouraging word. For example, I am true, I am honourable, I am admirable and so on.

Acknowledge the things around you, learn to see beauty in the little things and develop a heart of gratitude. Take time to practice mindfulness, read uplifting books, develop habits to increase your competency and connect with positive people. Knowledge is power but without implementation toward progressive growth and achievement, knowledge is worthless. Think positive thoughts and live a great life.

Nelson Mandela although incarcerated, consider himself free! He CHOOSE to be free and that generated positive vibes and energy around him that probably influenced a turn of events.

Your mind influences your emotions, behaviours, character and life.  Positive thinking will benefit us in many ways and it gives us the freedom to live a life by design. It nourishes our seeds of greatness to grow into a life of excellence and it empowers us to Do More, Be More, Love More, Value More and Give More so that you can make a positive difference. 

Your mind can influence your relationships – if you are insecure with your partner, you activate issues and events that would confirm your fears.  That is how powerful the mind can be.

So let me ask you – “Are you winning the mind game?”  Start today to reposition and reprogram your thoughts to what you want. See it, feel it, smell it….  CHOOSE TO BE POSITIVE and let your actions reflect such. Choosing to be positive without following with action will keep you right where you don’t want to be.
